2024“I Love My Family” International Children and Youth Art Competition

Open For: Children and adolescents aged 5-18 at home and abroad
1. Purpose of the Competition
Family is the cradle of faith and the link of value inheritance. The traditional family plays the function of inheriting morality and maintaining social stability. Through art, children can express the traditional values of the family and help them move towards a better life.
2. Theme of the Work
Since childhood, we have been taught by our family to treat people with sincerity, to not tell lies, to be kind, to think of others first, to be tolerant of others, to show others virtue, and to always keep kind thoughts in your heart, these are all acts of compassion. Good deeds will be rewarded, and good people will receive God’s help to live a happy and meaningful life. There are many small things in life that, if done with care, can easily achieve "great courage in small acts of kindness"; kindergarten to high school groups can register by submitting hand-drawn creations based on this theme.

4. Artwork Requirements
The paper size should be 12x18 inches, with no restrictions on style; watercolor, crayon, and oil painting are all acceptable. The resolution should be 8 megapixels (10MB), with any dimensions (recommended 1600 x 900 ratio, A3 size).
5. Registration
There is no registration fee. Please complete the form and submit a photo to the following URL:https://cctc.taipei/register
One painting can be submitted per email address (group submissions are not limited).
6. Awards
Preliminary round: Participation awards and finalist awards (number of recipients varies).
Final round: Each group will have one first prize, up to two second prizes, up to three third prizes, and up to ten excellence awards. (If multiple works receive the same score, they will share the same prize.)
7. Prizes and Certificates
- Kindergarten group: First prize: NT$5,000; Second prize: NT$3,000; Third prize: NT$2,000; Excellence award: NT$1,000. (Can be exchanged to equivalent local currency)
- Children A/B group: First prize: NT$15,000; Second prize: NT$10,000; Third prize: NT$5,000; Excellence award: NT$3,000. (Can be exchanged to equivalent local currency)
- Junior high: First prize: NT$15,000; Second prize: NT$10,000; Third prize: NT$5,000; Excellence award: NT$3,000. (Can be exchanged to equivalent local currency)
- Senior high: First prize: NT$20,000; Second prize: NT$15,000; Third prize: NT$7,500; Excellence award: NT$3,000. (Can be exchanged to equivalent local currency)
- All finalists will receive a certificate and a gift (gift value exceeding NT$1,000).

10. Evaluation Criteria
Alignment with theme 40%; Composition 10%; Technical proficiency 25%; Use of color 25%.
11. Additional Instructions for Winners and Finalists
- Participants and finalists from Taiwan (including outlying islands and Kinmen) who are unable to attend the award ceremony will need to cover the postage and handling fees for physical certificates and prizes (NT$300 per item). Transportation fees may differ for group registrations, as well as registrations from remote schools.
- After the contestants are notified by the organizer of being shortlisted or after winning the prize, they will be asked whether they are willing to participate in the exhibition.
- Winners from Taiwan (including outlying islands) are required to provide relevant information to the organizing committee within 15 days after the award ceremony for remittance and accounting purposes. Overseas winners are responsible for the prize money transaction fees (bank transfer fees and local tax regulations).
- Finalists and winners are requested to record a 30-60 second video testimonial and email it to the organizing committee upon notification.
12. Competition Conditions and Requirements
- Entries must be original works of the participants themselves. Parents and teachers are not allowed to draw on behalf of the participants, but they may participate in discussions on the theme and provide technical guidance.
- Participants must provide a text description of their artwork (approximately 150-200 words).
- Artworks that have been accepted in other competitions are not eligible for submission in this competition.
- Participants are not allowed to use AI or other computer-generated methods to participate in this competition. If found upon investigation, the award will be revoked, and any prize money paid will be reclaimed.
- After remitting the entry fee, participants must provide remittance information (remitter, remittance time, and last five digits of the bank account) in the registration form. Alternatively, they can inform the organizing committee via email (ventti0910@gmail.com) to facilitate verification.
- Participants are encouraged to create an account on the Gan Jing World platform after registering in the competition to sharing and tracking real-time information about the competition.
